Rendering of Irene's Farmhouse from above: concrete house wrapped by low stone walls and trees on the terraced hillside

Irene’s Farmhouse

Irene’s Farmhouse is a residence set into the terraced hillside of Tinos. Low stone walls extend the lines of the existing dry-stone terracing and fold around the house, while planted roofs let the slope continue over it. Inside, exposed concrete, stone and large openings frame the surrounding trees, keeping the building close to the land it grows out of.
