Rendering of Milos residence: low dark stone house with thin roofs stepping up a hillside among shrubs and prickly pear

Milos Cave Houses

This residence in Milos is embedded in the slope as a series of low, stepped volumes. Walls of rough dark stone and thin planted roofs follow the contours of the hillside, so the house reads as a continuation of the terrain. Shaded living spaces open onto a long terrace and pool, with interiors of timber and board-marked concrete.
