The Cycladic landscape of Tinos with its strong features and rocky morphology brings the need for an architecture integrated with this land. Six cave houses in a linear arrangement are developed next to each the other, following the terrain. Caves dug into the earth, accompanied by volumes that protrude from the slope like rocks, create a system of voids and solids.

The common areas constantly frame the sea view through large openings. The limits of the indoor and the outdoor become indiscernible as the “inside” extends to the “outside” through U-shaped volumes, which, like engravings in the ground, intensify the composition and enclose the pools. The outdoor areas of the rooms are defined by prisms, recalling the rocks of the landscape. The view escape is achieved by small openings while maintaining the cave feel. The materials follow the color palette of the landscape. Colored plaster, exposed concrete, local stone, chipped concrete. The textures are rough and create surfaces where light and shadow alternate dramatically.
