This project concerns the transformation of a 90’s office building to a block of flats in Piraeus. The purpose of the architectural composition was the connection between the building and the coast and the integration in the contemporary urban environment.

White rectangular frames-‘’screens’’ placed on the openings of the existing building and oriented to the coast and city views. These screens created private semi-outdoor areas for each residence, while improving their cooling and shading conditions. The ground floor of the building is proposed to house shops and restaurants, as an extension of the neighborhood. As a result, the building manages to become an observation point of the city as well as integrate into the urban fabric.
